Feb. 16th, 2026 12:16 pmphoenixdown_modWe have had some reports of nominations under certain fandoms being auto-rejected by ao3. This seems to be due to past tag wrangling efforts from our first round, so unfortunately isn't something we can change at this point. The fandom reported is Final Fantasy VII Remake & Rebirth (Video Games 2020-2024).
If you are trying to nominate a new relationship not already in the tagset and are receiving a response from ao3 which says "This nomination has been rejected (but another version may have been approved instead)", then please reply to this post and we will add the nominations for you manually.
As a note, please ensure that you are also disambiguating all nominations with the fandom in brackets at the end of the tag like this:

Final Fantasy VII - Remake and Rebirth
We have made the decision to update the fandom tag from last year, so we are now using the Final Fantasy VII Remake and Rebirth (Video Games 2020-2024) fandom tag. All current nominations for Remake and Rebirth have been reassociated with this fandom.
Please disambiguate still with (FFVII Remake) for all nominations.

We are counting all FFXV tie in media under the umbrella fandom of FFXV. FFIV - Nominator for Archfiends and Archfiend & Golbez: we don't accept group nominations, but we have accepted them as Barbariccia & Cagnazzo & Rubicante & Scarmiglione (FFIV) and Barbariccia & Cagnazzo & Golbez & Rubicante & Scarmiglione (FFIV)
FFIV - Nominator for Rydia & Summons (FFIV): we've accidentally approved this nomination while approving others, but we don't normally accept group nominations. If you want to nominate Rydia & specific summons, tell us and we'll add them to the tagset that way!
FFXIII - Nominators for Hope Estheim/Snow Villiers, Sazh Katzroy/Oerba Dia Vanille and Sazh Katzroy/Oerba Yun Fang: we realized we forgot to say that we'll be splitting the games more granularly into FFXIII, FFXIII-2 and FFXIII: Lighting Returns. Do you want any of those ships to be moved under a specific umbrella or are you fine with them being under FFXIII?

Update to nominations guidelines

We've recieved some feedback and we have decided to change how we handle nominations.
When nominating relationships please don't use any prefix. Previously, we asked for the group: prefix.
We no longer allow nominations for groups of characters as a group (like the Turks from FFVII or the Scions of the 7th Dawn from FFXIV) - please nominate the relevant & or / relationships you want instead. If you are hitting the 100-characters maximum limit for tags, abbreviate the names as necessary.
When nominating solo characters or wordbuilding, please add the 1: prefix.
